WASHINGTON, D.C. — No2AOC today released a comprehensive analysis of Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's proposed federal rent control legislation, concluding that the plan would devastate New York City's housing market and serve as a blueprint for economic disaster if implemented nationally.

The analysis further projects a 23% increase in homelessness within two years and a complete halt to new construction in rent-controlled zones.
"The economics of rent control are settled science," said No2AOC Policy Director Col. (Ret.) Mike Donovan. "Every credible study across every country that has tried it shows the same result. AOC knows this. She doesn't care. This is about political control, not housing."
No2AOC is calling on all members of the New York congressional delegation to publicly oppose the legislation and urging citizens to contact their representatives immediately.
