The Numbers Don't Lie. AOC Does.
The Green New Deal carries a price tag of $93 trillion over 10 years — $600,000 per American household. AOC claims it "pays for itself." Economists unanimously disagree.

Source: CBP, 2023AOC championed and celebrated the $1 billion defunding of the NYPD in 2020. In the 12 months following, NYC saw a 37% increase in violent crime and a 97% surge in subway crime.

Source: Federal Reserve, 2023"The Green New Deal would create millions of jobs."
The GND would eliminate 6.5 million existing energy jobs. Projections for "new green jobs" are speculative and based on unproven technology at scale.
"Medicare for All would save Americans money."
Only for the lowest-income uninsured. For the 160 million Americans with employer-sponsored insurance, out-of-pocket costs would increase under M4A's reduced reimbursement structure.
"Defunding police reduces crime."
Every major city that cut police budgets in 2020–2021 saw violent crime increase. Cities that maintained or increased police funding saw crime fall or hold steady.
"AOC has never called for open borders."
AOC has consistently voted against border wall funding, called for abolishing ICE, and supported decriminalizing illegal border crossings — policies functionally equivalent to open borders.
AOC voted against the bipartisan infrastructure bill in 2021.
Confirmed. AOC voted NO on the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the largest infrastructure investment in decades, because she wanted it tied to the larger $3.5 trillion reconciliation package.
